Sumac Press

Emerson Wulling was the proprietor of the Sumac Press from 1915 until a few months before his death in 2005, age 102. Dr. Wulling was a Professor Emeritus from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. He printed many bound books and booklets of his own, as well as works by his students and a variety of scholars. Wulling operated his Sumac Press for nearly 90 years, and it was likely the longest operating private press ever.
