Late in life during their retirement, Herschel and Anne Logan started the Log-Anne Press at their home in Santa Ana, California. The press produced close to 50 miniature books between 1973 and Herschel’s death in 1987. They printed on a variety of subjects, the ‘Old West’, local history, spirituality and other things that interested them. The books were mostly printed on a Baby Reliance Washington Press and bound by hand. Most of the books were printed from Hersch’s hand-lettered texts and illustrated with his wonderful pictures, maps and decorations.
