Devil’s Tail Press

The ‘Devil’s Tail’ is an antiquated term used for the crooked impression lever of a hand-press. The books, pamphlets and cards produced at the press are produced on a circa 1854 R. Hoe Washington Foolscap press, a late model Ullmer Table-top Albion and occasionally on an Adana Horizontal Quarto press. The house face is ATF Lydian because of it’s casting number & other types used are American Uncial, Goudy Village, Garamond & a large assortment of types and ornament as well as my wood-engravings.
