Jardine Treadle Platen 8” x 5”

This weekend I took possesion of a lovely Jardine Treadle Platen circa 1940’s. She has been moved into postition and I am now cleaning her up and starting to unravel where bits go. I seem unable to find any info on the internet or library about her. She is around 60 years old and has a solid flywheel, she has been painted red and green and I feel sure this is not the original colour. Any help and advice or pointers as to where i may find some advice would be most happily received. For example I have been attempting to fit the treadle and there is a big old counterweight and i dont seem to be able to find its postioning. Not sure if it even goes anywhere near the treadle…help!!
