Albion Demy Folio iron handpress by Hopkinson and Cope, London, circa 1850, 12 x 18” platen size, height from base of feet to top of crown approximately 65”, length from bed to end of rails approximately 43”, weight 780 lbs. The bed and platen have been reground and the press has a modern tympan and frisket covered with tympan paper. There is an invisible weld on cross bar of one set of legs which does not affect performance. Press was used recently for job printing. Albion must be disassembled prior to move.
