I am a retired printer/business owner. Started in printing in 1946 in 9th grade Jr. High school. Took printing 1 hr. per day for 4 semesters then got into the trade class which was 3hrs per day for 11th & 12th grade. From there it was getting a job as a printer. Most of my years were spent doing offset or lithographic printing. Although all had letterpress equipment. From 1996 to 1973 I managed a combination letterpress and offset shop. In 1974 I purchased a letterpress shop and added offset. I retired in 1992. A few years ago I obtained letterpress equipment for a hobby. I enjoy sharing things regarding both letterpress & offset printing.
