Perhaps one of the best kept secrets of art and craft in the UK is its private presses — there is much splendid work to be had from the home of Kelmscott, Doves, and Ashendene. This web page presents a number of presses who are actively producing books in the UK by letterpress and generally with original illustrations to accompany new texts. Each presents a little of itself and descriptions of its books in print. Orders should be placed directly with the presses.
