Designs with Overlapping Colors

I’ve designed a card with three different colors in Adobe InDesign. These colors overlap. Does anyone know if I send a pdf of my design to Boxcar, can they separate and make three appropriate plates or do I have to separate the colors out into 3 different files?

If you’ve done it right, they can separate it from your one file. Look at the file with ‘Separations Preview’ turned on and make sure the overprints and knockouts are correct and that you only have your three inks working.

Thanks so much!! Here I was trying to create my own knockouts (= 5 times as much work!). I’ve learned quite a bit about the Adobe design software in a short time, but I still have so much to learn!
