Book Club of California

Founded in 1912, the Book Club of California is a non-profit association for book lovers and collectors who have a special interest in the literature and history of the Pacific Coast, in the graphic arts, and in fine printing. Through an active program of exhibits, publications, keepsakes, lectures and a quarterly newsletter, the Club maintains its goal of promoting an understanding and appreciation of fine books.
Its chief aims are to further the interest of book collectors and to promote an understanding and appreciation of fine books. The Club maintains a library that includes numerous examples of the world’s fine presses as well as reference works on the history and technique of printing. Membership is limited to 1,000. Annual dues: Basic $55, Sustaining $75, Patron $150
