Call for Entries: Pressing South

PRESSING SOUTH: A Juried Exhibition of
Letterpress Printing from
the Southeastern United States

Pressing South is sponsored by the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Department of Art and Art History. The exhibition venue, the Cultural Arts Building Art Gallery, is a dedicated exhibition space with a mission to bring educational exhibits about art and design to the UNCW student population and general public. The gallery is located on UNCW’s campus in Wilmington, NC.

Eligibility: All entries must be of original design, completed after January 1, 2005. Work must have originated in the southeastern United States (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia & West Virginia.)

Prizes: First place, $500; Second place, $300; Third place, $200

The Juror, Frank Brannon, is a graduate of the M.F.A. in the Book Arts Program at the University of Alabama and is proprietor of SpeakEasy Press.
