Shakespeare Press Museum Graphic Communication Department

The Shakespeare Press Museum is an active, student-operated print museum located at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The Museum offers a working environment in which students and the public are able to set type and print using the antique presses in the collection. Past projects include holiday cards, invitations, and currently a poetry book. There are over 500 foundry-cast type faces, wooden fonts, copper engraved dingbats, and many working platen presses from the 19th century. In addition, there is an assortment of table top presses, book presses, stitchers, a Campbell cylinder press, Linotype, and Linograph machines.

Tours can be arranged through the Graphics Communication Department.
