Best papers for letterpress printing

I am a relatively new printer and have been using Lettra papers for my work but find the impression not as crisp as I like and would appreciate advice on cover weight papers.
I’ve experimented with changing the amount of impression and amounts of ink and packing and it’s just too hard for me to really make beautiful.
I print on double weight Environment papers also and that’s pretty good but not as “sexy” as the feel of the Lettra.
Any advice from you pros I would appreciate.
Thanks.

Lynne,

What press are you using? I would say it’s an ink problem if it’s not crisp. Did you use a hard or soft packing?

I have used Mohawk 130# cover Wove finish and have gotten a wonderful crisp firm impression.

Just in case check out this website.
