Museum of Printing History

The Museum opened in 1982. Its exhibits include historical documents, books, fine art prints, newspapers, printing machines and tools. These exhibits provide an overview of the importance of printing to the institutions of government, education, commerce, art, religion, and communication during the past 500 years. There are galleries, a restoration workshop, meeting rooms and printing workshops. Hours: 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

I’ve been to the Museum of Printing History several times and it’s a must see while your in Houston. The first Saturday of the month they hold a meeting so if you want to see some great presses, wood and metal type go visit.
