I am looking for a tabletop press in the Tampa area that I can purchase for a decent price. I plan on getting into letterpress as a business. Any recommendations or advice? If anyone has a letterpress for sale, I would love to hear about it. My budget is $400 or less.
If you are looking to get into business, $400 won’t buy you very much, since you not only need a press, you need furniture, type, ink, paper, etc. Frankly, I doubt you will find a useful tabletop for $400.
New rollers alone can cost $150.
There is a 10x15 C&P with new rollers in Tampa for $500 which was advertised a couple of days ago on this list. It’s not a tabletop, but it is more appropriate for business use. You also will need training, or a patient adviser.
