Barry DaPeer is a fine printer employing hand-fed, treadle-operated presses. In addition to finely printed books of poetry, handmade papers, and other ephemera, we offer workshops teaching letterpress. The studio and classes are in Sacramento. Classes are held in our roomy and comfortable shop. We are now accepting applications for Fall and Winter, 2010, workshops. Workshop dates are always negotiable. Price of one-day, 8-hour workshop is $165. Maximum number of students in a class is 2 - 3. Instructor is master printer and has been letterpress printer for 50+ years. I bought my first printing press, a 3x5 Kelsey, when I was 12 years old.
