(We have no current information about this project. It was created by the late Justin Howes. We do not know if the project has been continued.) The Founders Caslon™ project represents a straightforward, approach to the problem of reviving historical type for the desktop: we’ve copied the originals, faults and all, rather than tried to improve on, or reinterpret them. The result? A series of scrupulously accurate fonts which retains the human quality which makes early types worth reviving in the first place.

Caslon Display comes with Caslon Ornaments, a selection of Caslon’s best type ornaments.
