The Virginia Arts of the Book Center is a working print studio in Charlottesville, Virginia dedicated to printing and the book arts. Our mission is to promote and preserve the humanities through creative arts, literacy, and education. We sponsor hands-on activity, interdisciplinary projects, demonstrations, and outreach. We maintain a letterpress shop and etching facilities, and provide training and education for artists, writers, and community members. The VABC is a part of the Virginia Center for the Book and a program of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
