Bauer has been producing photoengraved letterpress printing plates for fine bookprinters since 1928. Our plates can be mounted type high; metal or cherrywood. We never use pine. All wood mounts are hand routed.
Bauer has been quality driven by fine printers like Adrian Wilson and Andrew Hoyem. We produced all letterpress cuts for The Work and Play of Adrian Wilson. Our other products include foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and leather dies. We accept e-files and estimate all jobs individually.
