i have a building that had an old printing press in the back. there are a lot of items that i am not at all familiar with. there are some items that seem to be made of egg carton material with impressions pressed into them. they were used for making newspaper articles it appears. are these worth anything or are they just trash?
sounds like stereotype mats, they were put in a machine and lead was poured into them, don’t know if they have any value. good luck dick g.
yep… those are stereotype mats….. and typically they do not have much worth, unless the type impressed into them is of some earth-shattering event. If they read “Pearl Harbor Bombed” or something like that, I’d hang on to them.
I cast stereotypes.
