Holzlettern Manufacture Hamburg (Wood Type History and Future)

The “Wood Type Manufacture Hamburg” is part of the letterpress workshop in the {Museum der Arbeit (Museum of Work)} in Hamburg. Besides the wood type router of Klingspor from about 1920, the workshop contains 79 original type templates of the most important German type foundries and famous designers like Paul Renner, Hermann Zapf and Rudolf Koch. The workshop preserves and teaches the old technique and makes it usable for new ideas.
