This workshop is designed to give you the skills, space, and tools needed to letterpress your own (or a relative’s/friends’s/client’s) beautiful wedding invitation! The rich colors and inks, fine paper, and embossed type or imagery will surely make a wonderful impression on all invited.
You will learn how to ink up and make ready the press, adjust pressure and roller high, register multiple colors / plates, clean and care for the Vandercook No. 4 Letterpress here at the AS220 Community Print Shop.
Participants must attend ALL THREE letterpress classes in order to be certified to use the letterpress during print time. No materials needed for the first class, but you will be ordering your own paper and plates as we progress. Materials costs are entirely up to each student based on their own choices and budget.
The AS220 Community Printshop is located at 95 Mathewson Street PROVIDENCE RI, 2nd floor, to enter the building buzz 210!
