Resurfacing (polish) of Ink Plate
Is there anyone you can suggest to have the ink plate polished? Can I accomplish this myself? A machine shop?
My Craftsman has many very fine groves that I can not get the ink out of when cleaning.
thanks!

If the dried on ink isn’t contaminating the next ink put on the table, why worry? If you can’t clean it out, I can’t imagine it coming out by accident. My C&P has many of the same and lots of miscellaneous scratches and pits from various mishaps. Doesn’t seem to affect my inking any. I suppose it could be I’m not picky enough.
Purple cleaner from the Auto parts store works great. However it will remove the paint from the press.
