Printer Tray Identification

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some information on some antique printers trays that I own. I would appreciate any information that you can give. Thank you so much :)

I am having trouble loading the two photos, so here is a link to the pictures.

Photo 2 is a Ludlow space and quad CASE.
Printers trays might possibly be galleys!

Thank you!! Any idea on an approx. date or age?

The last two or three are type cases. I have one like #5 that came from Miller & Richards. It is early 1900s. Wood bottom with square head nails or tacks. Very old cases had wood bottoms. Later ones used masonite.

The last photo of the stamp is the typical “Two Rivers” used by Hamilton. There were several variations which also were stamped on wood type capital “A”s. A previous discussion on this forum covered the dates of each variation. If you go to the new site for Alembic Press, you will find drawings with dates to help distinguish where some of your trays may have been made.

@nLongdaypress thank you so much for your info!
