Saddle Spring too strong for OS C&p 10x15?

Hi Guys,
Has anyone heard or experienced saddle springs being too strong and creating too much pull on the saddles/rollers. The tension feels stronger than my other letterpress CP 8x12 but not to the point that I can’t remove the rollers.

The main reason I ask is because I think one of my roller cores is bent and I’m not sure if it was bent prior to recovering, bent during recovering, or bent because the saddle rod tension was too strong.

Can the saddle rod tension be so strong that it would bend the roller/roller core?

Thank for your input!

I cannot fathom how a roller company could cover a roller with a bent core and not notice. It may have been damaged in shipping back to you.
That would have to be one h#$$ of a spring to bend a core.
I have dropped rollers from tables and not bent the cores.
Roll the roller on a flat surface and see if it is just the exposed core that is bent. If so, it probably got damaged after covering. They grind the rollers on a lathe and if the core is bent they would not be able to work with it.
