business card blanks?

Anybody know a good affordable resource for blank business cards? Pre cut and ready to print? Paper suitable for letterpress?

Even better, know of some good vintage sources? Or a company that carries those nice rounded corners or older looking styles of cards?

I live in california so a place closer with cheaper shipping would be best.

thanks!

Hey there,

Kelly Paper sells pre-cut sheets of business cards, ready for printing. They have locations throughout California. Go to www.kellypaper.com and you can find the location nearest you!

Don’t hesitate to ask for a better price when you’re out there, they’re usually pretty flexible about giving at least 10% off the list price. If you’re a tradesman, they often will go even deeper.

Hope this helps!

If you are in Los Angeles - San Fernando Valley area try Matz Paper in Van Nuys. They are a family run business who have a wonderful stock of quality paper. The carry all the Strathmore line. The are on the corner of Aetna and Hazeltine near the tracks. 14122 Aetna St, Van Nuys, CA 91401 (818) 786-4153 . btw Matzpaper.com is NOT their web page.

Matz Paper went out of business, didn’t they? A couple years back.

Seems likely. They still have web listings, but when I just phoned the above number it was disconnected. I only live about a mile away and will be by there this afternoon and will check it out and give a report. Too bad, it was a great Valley resource that started in the 1940s.

Yes, Matz is gone, although the building still has all the original Matz signage.

It isn’t just Matz that is gone. Some of their suppliers are also gone, in the unstable world of paper today. All those great Hillsdale 2- and 3-ply cards that Matz sold (1- and 2- and 4-up) are no longer even made, since the mill closed.

I bought a pack of 100 blank business cards for $2.50 at a local office supply store (not a big box store) here in Tucson. You might try that.
