Ti-Pi Company

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Ti-PI Company of Kansas City? They made press plate materials, plastic and rubber, wood blocks, etc. I know they were in business during the ’40s and ’50s but have no information where they went or when they went out of business. I’m trying to find out what became of the company and if there is anyone to contact that owned or worked at the company. Better yet, does anything still exist that the company made? Or their manufacturing equipment? Any help would be appreciated.

Haven’t seen an ad for them later than the ’60s (look in Graphic Arts Monthly). I may be confusing items but it seems like American Printing Equipment sold plates with BenDay patterns on them made by Ti-Pi in the ’50s, and the plain blocks for carving into the ’60s. The one piece of Ti-Pi material I have is now pretty hard but as I recall it was softer when I carved it, and it wasn’t brand new then. It was possible to do finer lines than with linoleum.
