Miehle Vertical 50
The grippers will not take the paper off the cylinder - they’re closed by the time it goes to pick the paper up - knocks it right out. Also, cylinder spins backwards. Can you help?

Check the motion of the lower cams for gripper release issues. There may be an issue between the bearing roller and the cam which activates the gripper action.
Regarding the cylinder reversal - check the cylinder brake. The brake needs cleaning and adjusting from time to time. The cylinder brake sits against a smooth wheel on the non-operator side of the cylinder assembly. You’ll see a bolt / spring at the bottom of the brake pad. Loosen the bolt / spring and flip up the brake - clean with type wash or blanket wash - then reassemble and tighten enough to stop the cylinder rotation after impression.
