Job Opening: Studio Lab Coordinator, UI Center for the Book

The Center for the Book, University of Iowa, is seeking to hire a Laboratory Coordinator to be responsible for developing and maintaining its letterpress and bindery equipment, and its letterpress printing, bookbinding, and papermaking studios; establishing and managing a centralized inventory; maintaining studio equipment and digital equipment in studio areas; supervision and instruction of Graduate Assistants and other student employees or volunteers in equipment use; formulating requests for new equipment and procuring related materials; coordinating, planning, and overseeing the move of the Typography Lab across campus; and assisting in the planning and development of new studio spaces on campus. The Laboratory Coordinator may use the UICB studios for creative and professional work at times when classes are not in session.
