Design and file prep help

I am just getting started and don’t have any design experience. How do I find someone to prepare files to order plates for simple business cards, invitations, etc.

You hire me… or a local…

On long term you have to learn how to use the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop…) and
eat some typography books, lots of them.

Locate a graphic artist in your area who has an interest in letterpress and trade services.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome. If you like to work face to face, ask a local graphic designer if they do freelance work. If working local isn’t important, any freelance graphic designer is an email away. Just like printers, graphic designers will have their fortes. Designing in spot color for letterpress isn’t the norm anymore, so finding someone whos forte is fine work and designing for letterpress may take a little trial and error.
You will also need to be able to articulate your needs to them correctly for accurate letterpress file prep. Message me if you would like some more in depth info or would like some graphic designer names.
