How to lock base on Craftsman 5x8?
Hi Everyone,
Just recently acquired a Craftsman 5x8 press and have purchased a boxcar base. I have brand new rollers and have made a photopolymer plate. I’m now trying to figure out how I lock the boxcar base to the chase. From what I know I need a quoin and furniture? Does anyone know what exactly I need in order to get the press going and where to get the supplies?

check the yellow pages on this site and you should find supplies close to you. for a table top press you can get away with wickersham quoins, you will need a quoin key to lock the chase, then you need gauge pins to hold your paper, be careful not to set the pins where the base will hit them because they will smash or even worse damage your base, i think there are special pins you use with the base.
