The IPRC brings together artists, self publishers, and the DIY community but most people know the IPRC for its amazing Zine Library. Not as many people know that the IPRC has been offering an affordable and accessible letterpress printing studio space and workshops to the Portland community for well over a decade. When the IPRC moved across the river from downtown to SE Portland in the Spring 2012, the letterpress studio expanded with twice as much type and more workspace.
On Letterpress Day, you can see what’s new at the IPRC, sign up for letterpress workshops and see what members of the IPRC family are making or pick up some letterpress type or equipment at the Swap & Sell. The Letterpress community at the IPRC is a great place to meet other printers, learn new techniques, network and collaborate. Look also for a display of PRINTED AT THE IPRC posters, broadsides, postcards, and more!
