7 Aug: A brief history of typefounding in Islington

From A to B and Beyond:
a brief history of typefounding in Islington

A talk by Chris Rule

Islington Museum
Tuesday 7 August 6.30pm

With some of the largest typefoundries in London having once been located in the borough, this fascinating talk offers an invaluable insight into a centuries-old local profession. Although the capital’s typefoundries are now long-gone, some of the buildings survive and their typographical heritage lives on in the area.

Chris Rule is a local historian who has spent many years studying London’s industries.

This event is free.
