Apprentice Wanted:
Looking for young, smart, creative individual to learn the almost dead art of letterpress, everything from foil stamping, diecutting, crash numbering, embossing, kiss cutting, to fine letterpress printing.
Must be willing to train & learn for little to no pay, until deemed skilled enough for pressman wages.
Would get paid for any labor ie. scrapping, folding/gluing, any handwork, watching running presses, & any deliveries.
Moving shop to west bottoms soon too, could make some $$$ with help in the move. Would also be insightful as to the scope and size of machines, & how sophisticated they are for being so old.
Can also get compensation by selling jobs, or creating own work to print.
This is a unique opportunity that is open for a unique person, who wants to a part of the start of something from the ground floor, with an opportunity to learn an amazing craft, and hopefully make some money too.
