Ugly Duckling Presse is a nonprofit art & publishing collective producing small to mid-size editions of new poetry, translations, lost works, and artist’s books. The Presse favors emerging, international, and “forgotten” writers with well-defined formal or conceptual projects that are difficult to place at other presses. The Presse maintains a small workshop and letterpress studio at the Old American Can Factory in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
Members of Ugly Duckling Presse are sometimes able to accept printing work on an individual basis. Our press can handle sizes up to 20 inches by 28 inches and print runs of 1 to 1500 (negotiable).
