Carpe Plumbum is a workshop for letterpress and relief printing, located in the “Spinnerei” in Leipzig – a former cotton mill that now hosts artists, designers and galleries.
At the workshop hundreds of typecases expanded by some hot metal equipment (Linotype, Nebitype) and several presses (from proof presses to the 70x100cm “Präsident” Cylinder press) offer varied possibilities for printwork.
I work together with artists and designers, printing cards and small editions, as well as larger editions such as posters and books; for example all the original graphic LUBOK books are printed here. See www.lubok.com for more.
