Wood Type ID
I chanced upon a wooden type perpetual calender, and cajoled the ‘artsy’ owner (the type was displayed as wall decor!) to allow an inkpad ‘palm’ proof be taken. Anyone have knowledge of typeface/era?

This seems to match Perpetual Calendar Set No. 10 shown on page 29 of the Hamilton Wood Type specimen book that Shooting Star Press put together.

Thank you for the identification. The owner of the type has it mounted on a wall adjacent to a wood-burning stove. Should be well dried, warped and shrunk at this stage of its life. :o( However, at least it’s not painted a bright lavender in order to match the drapes. :o)
