Help me choose 10 x 15 or 14 x 22 Chandler and price

Both of these are up for grabs for me. They are both in great shape. I tested them out this morning. The only issue is moving them as there is a 30” doorway and a small staircase to go up, then I would like to put it in the basement. These things considered, I assumed to go with the smaller one unless someone advises otherwise. I would appreciate any input. If there’s reason for me to pursue the larger one and what it would entail to move it, please let me know. I certainly don’t want to miss out on this opportunity. My initial purchase would be for my invitation business, but I am interested in exploring all other areas of Letterpress including illustration.

The size of the press should be based on your need. If your printing is going to be smaller than 8.5x11 the small press will be the best.
A larger press is great, if you plan to print large print areas.

Where are you located? It’s a near undoable task to take a 10x15 press apart and down into a basement unless you’ve done it … a 10x15 c&p weighs about 1550 lbs and a 14 1/2 x22 weighs 2700 lbs or more. Neither will fit through a 30 inch door assembled…. you’re not going to pick either up and carry them around. i move these machines all the time

Yeah, uh, you ‘could’ move a 14x22 down some stairs, but you’re not getting that thing through a 30” doorway unless you totally disassemble it.

I actually think it’ll be a lot of work to get the 10x15 through the doorway.
