I have a problem with gold foil that we foil stamp on Classic Crest 100# natural white cover stock. We stamp on a 10 x 15 Heidelberg Platen. Copper die, Infinity foil, (sometimes API) the problem is when the offset printer imprints the 4 up shells the gold is pulling off onto their blanket and their pressman is complaining. Has anyone had this same problem? If so what can I do to help keep this from happening? Image of shells attached.
I do the “scotch tape” pull test and the foil does not come off, there is a residual amount that comes away from the edges but nothing from the centers of the image.
Thank you all for your help.
