i need a new c & p pilot press handle

hello-

i purchased a pilot press from a printer in portland oregon a while back, but when it was with a previous owner, they had modified the handle. presently the handle comes out towards you, with a slight curve, and a counter weight. my assumption is that they thought they needed more force because they actually needed to replace some springs.
basically, i am looking for a traditional straight handle (on all c &p pilots) for it so that it operates normal.
my best connection has been to someone who might be able to cast one for me.
any clues?

thanks.

Hi there, would you be interested in a handle if it cost $100? I’ll take no offense if that is too steep for you.

I’ve got a broken new style Pilot and I’m trying to decide whether to part it out or buy the replacement piece I need for $200+.

Thanks,
-Holly

Are you aware of the letpress listserve?
If not, you might try there. There are dealers on the list who might have what you need.

Should have done this before, but if you’re not familiar with letpress, or already subscribed, this should get you started: https://listserv.unb.ca/archives/letpress.html
