Chandler and Price 8 x 12 old style treadle size

Hello all,
I have finally gotten a C&P 8 x 12 old style press and need the dimensions of the treadle. I work in a flexo shop and one of the pressmen here said he would fabricate me a treadle for cheap. I have measured what I think I need but would feel more comfortable if some had the size. I have learned a ton just by reading post on this site.
Thanks for all your help.

The treadle, the hook or both? I have originals, but would have to remove them to get accurate measurements.

I was hoping for both. How close can you get without removing them? I don’t want this to be a pain for anyone.
Thanks

snapshotjunkie, why don’t you buy one from Hern Iron works.

I thought about it, but we have scrap metal here at work and the pressman here will build it for free.

Not a huge hassle…but I don’t crawl around on the cement floor in tight spaces as well as I used to. Give me a couple of days and I’ll take them off and take photos and provide dimensions.

I made one using wood and iron bars. That was for a press assuming that a real one would turn up. Stopped looking! Just make sure you have a goose neck for the hand treadle.

Arie, thanks for taking the time. I know what you mean about crawling around.

OK…sorry it took so long to get to this. Family from the UK have taken up a bunch of time. I’ve posted three photos in my Flickr account: here

I’ll post dimensions in the photo comments. This is for the 8x12 Chandler & Price Old Style press. I believe the New Style dimensions are slightly different.

OK. Comments are now in place. If anything is unclear, please let me know. Also added a few more photos of the treadle assembled and back in the press.

Thank you so much. This is going to help a ton.
