Screen Printing ink

So this may be a dumb question, however I will ask anyway. Is it possible to use the same water based inks that screen printers use on a letterpress. I have some laying around and wanted to know if it would work.

No. Definately not.
The texture, consitency, chemistry, and performane is very different.
