Developed an allergy to rubber fingers

Hi y’all~ does anyone know of an alternative brand of rubber fingers? I’ve developed a skin allergy to the ones I use. Ive tried that wet finger stuff and in high volume production it just doesn’t do the trick. Any suggestions? My poor swollen digits thank you.

I always use sandpaper taped to my fingers, or you can use surgical gloves.

There are several different brands (I’ve always used Swingline fingers) but I think it all comes down to amber rubber or red rubber. If you’ve become sensitive to latex, you might try some medical tape as a barrier. There are now good, thin, flexible latex-free tapes available. Barrier creams too.

Sandpaper cut to the width of the finger. From about the first knuckle over the top and held with rubber bands. Oops! If that piece of rubber will also cause a problem, you will need to use tape.

McMaster probably has lots of finger cots, if these will meet the needs of what you do with them.

Chances are you can find one that might suit your purposes and be a type of rubber you aren’t affected by.

Thanks y’all. Swingline is the brand I’ve been using. I do too many runs a day I think for the tape/sandpaper method to be effective. The cots & barriers sound like a great idea though! Thanks again : )
