I have 8 very old type drawers. These seem to pre-date Hamilton and Thompson or possibly were used in Hamilton Wood Case Racks. No name indication that I can see on any of the drawers. The bottoms of the drawers are made from 3 pieces of tongue and groove wood. Some of the drawers have no dividers while others have dividers nailed in place (these can easily be removed). Drawers originally contained sets of wood type and the small dividers sectioned off some wood fonts under 1” in height. Some drawers still have remnants of the original content labels.
Drawers measure approx. 32 1/2” x 24” x 1 3/4”. No handles although they may have had ones at some time in the past. Also included is a bunch of dividing strips
They must have just slid in and out of an open style rack.
Great for refinishing or repurposing projects or just for stacking your large type and cuts.
Looking for reasonable offers. Would love to save them but just don’t have the room at the moment.
Pickup only Long Island or if close by can arrange delivery.
