CNC Milling Test Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m7xImDG8rE

Testing my newly built CNC mill. In preparation for engraving matrices and casting custom type.

Based on Proxxon MF70, running GRBL on Arduino board. 3-Axis NEMA 23 Stepper motors.

Made a silly wooden mold for casting a type metal toy soldier sort in a portable foundry.

This was just a machine test, on reflection, wood isn’t an ideal medium for something like this :). Copper or aluminum would work much better.

very cool! will it mill copper? looks pretty strong. Nice Arduino work too!

Aluminum, copper - not a problem.
It even works on hard steel (all-being very sowly).

Still figuring out the right settings for type matrices though.
