Looking for source of maple end grain wood to cut letter using CNC machine

I am experimenting cutting letters using a CNC machine to fill in missing alphabets that I have. Looking for source for end grain maple wood suitable for this purpose. One side needs to be sanded flat, the other side can be rough. Has anyone had experience doing this or have suggestions on source of wood?

Scott Moore at Moore Wood type, may be willing to sell you some type high maple blocks.

Last I knew Red Door press is working toward, offering finished type high maple as well, I don’t know if everything is in place yet, but you could also talk to them.
