DIY DTG PRINTERS

Anyone had any experience with using a do it your self direct to garment ink jet rig for uv printing onto paper? would it work? i’ve probably been googling more than two weeks trying to find a solution to setting ink permenantly (i’m venturing into small run book publishing — photo and text)

Does the ink bind to the paper properly? Could i use different inks in the printer rig?

This is pretty off topic for briarpress, this forum is typically meant for discussing letterpress and letterpress related technologies.

It might be best to ask this question on a screen printing forum. shirtforums.com has a large community of people building their own dtg equipment. That might be a good place to start.
