Korrex Hannover – Rollers diameter size… Uneven impression

Hi,

We are dealing with an uneven impression (lighter inking towards the middle) printing on our Korrex Hannover—everything appears to be fine as long as we are manually inking the press by hand…

The packing seems fine, bed/level seems okay, now trying to figure out if the rollers are still even or shrunken/swollen and whether or not we need to replace them.

Should we need to replace the rollers, could anybody confirm the correct thickness/size? We have found a manual for the Korrex Nürnberg at Druckwerk in de Marge which mentions a diameter of 74 mm… but not sure if that is correct for the Hannover.

Thx. Steffen

Take the rollers out of the ink train, normally the diameter has been inscribed in the cores of the rollers. On my Korrex Hannover, the diameter of the rollers is 52 mm, the length 495 mm. This is also indicated in the manual of the press.

Thanks, Thomas!

It’s inscribed in the cores indeed, must have missed it, it’s 52 mm. Just tried to examine our rollers today by rolling on a straight surface with a backlight, and light leaks towards the middle. It seems we are in need of new rollers if we evaluate this correctly…

Best, sh

@Thomas: Do you by chance have a manual (PDF) for the Korrex Hannover?

Also, does anyone know a few good manufacturers that would be able to reprocess/renew the rollers (in Germany)?

Thx. sh

Answering my own question:

“Drucken & Lernen” does a fantastic job. “Sauer Walzen” from Berlin was highly recommended as well.
