Typesetting equipment for teaching

Hello! I am one of a team of three rare book librarians who are setting up a bibliographical press at our library in Montreal. Our first immediate goal is to be able to a offer a basic typesetting exercise for around 15 student participants.

We are interested in purchasing composing sticks, galleys, a sufficient complement of leads and slugs, a couple chases and quoins, and furniture to demonstrate locking up forms, along with a few cases of type (doesn’t necessarily matter what). We would also be interested in acquiring some complete type forms as teaching aids.

If you have any of these items to spare, please send me a quote! We are equipped to pick up, within reasonable distance.

Many thanks,
Anna
