AV 12x12 Vacuum Loss
After a busy round of successful platemaking on our Anderson Vreeland 12x12 Orbital, the vacuum suddenly dropped off on the last plate of the project. We have installed a gauge on our machine, and the gauge reads 20, which is normal. But inside the vacuum chamber, the kreen only partially sticks to the platen and does not make a good seal on one side. Is there any way to diagnose and fix this problem? Thanks.
In the long (6 week) London printers strike, to prevent management running machines, tiny tiny bits of paper were placed in the air lines at suitable places …. so somewhere between the gauge and the chamber, dead spider maybe?
