December Workshops at IS Projects!

IS Projects has some exciting new workshops to close out 2017. There is a range of different skills to learn including letterpress, screen printing, and aquatint etching. Space is limited, so please sign up today at http://www.isprojectsfl.com/workshops/

Workshop #1
December Screenprinting Intensive
Friday December 1: 6 - 8pm
Saturday December 2nd and Sunday the 3rd: 10am - 6pm (with break for lunch)
Instructor: Ingrid Schindall

This is a 3 part all inclusive screenprinting intensive.This workshop is limited to 4 participants so everyone will receive specific and personal instructions and assistance. This intensive is designed not only to produce an edition but to also instill the foundation of screenprinting knowledge so that all participants can do this process on their own later on. All necessary materials will be provided, however you are welcome to bring anything you’d like to print on

Workshop #2
Letterpress Holiday Cards
Sunday, December 3rd, 12 - 5pm
Instructor: Sammi McLean
$80
This workshop is designed to teach students the fundamentals of letterpress printing while they design and print their own holiday cards. Students will learn how to set type, lock up a form, and print using a Vandercook SP15 proofing press and a tabletop platen press. The new printers will experience the collaborative nature of the craft and leave with a stack of their own letterpress printed cards to send out to family and friends.

Workshop #3
Aquatint Etching with Kim Spivey
Sunday December 17th, 12pm - 6pm
Instructor: Kim Spivey
$140
In this workshop we will use an airbrush method that creates rich aquatints comparable to what is possible with rosin. Step etching and stopping out will be introduced to create prints with an assortment of values. No experience necessary and all materials are included. Feel free to bring reference images and sketches.
